Other Filter Technology

End of tap

  • Low Performance/Class filters(class III-V).
  • Reduce some contaminants of health concern.
  • Low filter capacity, frequent filter changes, resulting in ongoing filter replacement costs.

Carafe/Pitcher

  • Low Performance/Class filters(class III-V).
  • Reduce some contaminants of health concern.
  • Low filter capacity, frequent filter changes, resulting in ongoing filter replacement costs.
  • Must be replaced every 150 liters.

Water filter with UV

  • Disinfection method.
  • Is not required in main water network because the water is chlorinated.
  • Increases extremely the main cost of the device and the cost in spare parts.
  • Does not add anything to the performance and quality of the filter.
  • UV does not remove heavy metals, chorine and chloramines, pesticides, herbicides etc.

Water ionizers

  • Uses electrolysis.
  • Does not remove water pollutants.
  • Has no proven effect on health when water lacks mineral ions.
  • Controversy in scientific society whether or not drinking ionized water will have a noticeable effect on the body.

Reverse osmosis

  • No independent ability to reduce most Volatile Organic Chemicals.
  • Very low output - takes up to 24 hours to process 18 liters of water.
  • Must have holding tank to store the processed water.
  • Wastes water - for every 4 liters processed, 11 to 34 liters are wasted.
  • Removes minerals and trace elements essential to good health.

Charcoal filters

  • These come in powdered or granulated form which allows water to flow around rather than through the carbon.
  • Referred to as taste and odor filters because of the limited contact time the water has with the carbon.
  • Can promote the growth of bacteria.

Silver-charcoal

  • Same as Charcoal Filters above however, uses silver to inhibit the growth of bacteria while water sits in filter.
  • Silver ingested in certain doses can be poisonous to the human body therefore, it must be registered with the EPA as containing a poisonous substance.

Our Technology

Multipure drinking water systems are tested and certified for 200% of capacity Multipure drinking water systems are high performance/class filters(class I) The replacement filter must be changed once a year Multipure drinking water systems do not add anything to the water, dont promote growth of bacteria, beneficial minerals remain in water.
